Our Hope is Secure in God. You Don't Get to Decide How God Blesses You.
Psalm 25:1-4: "To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths."
The psalmists approach GOD in HIS GLORY, yet still their humanity is allowed to bleed through. So what we get are writers who are like you and I in the highest of highs and the lowest of lows–yet, they have the presence of mind to recognize Who GOD is and respond to it appropriately, anchored in the HOPE only GOD can give.
