Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment

As Christians we have a tendency at times to think that we can judge people based off of their appearance; however, James in this text is calling us to a higher standard of living and not showing favoritism or discriminating against people based off of their appearance. God is calling us to extend mercy to others as we have been given mercy from Him.

There is big difference between calling yourself a follower of Jesus and actually walking it in your daily life. In the book of James, we get a clear picture of what being a “Doer of the Word” really is. Through mountain tops and valleys, as servants of Jesus, we are called to live a life from His Gospel.
